IT’S YOUR CENTRE
Why not volunteer?

You’ll be helping your local community and acquiring useful skills in a working environment. The hours are flexible, and you can work for as much or as little time as you like, from regular hours in the office to one-off events.

All our voluntary roles are supported, We’ll give you an induction and relevant training, and you’ll always have space to raise issues. You don’t need specific skills for many of our roles. All we ask for is enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. Age, ability and experience are not barriers to volunteering with us.

It’s a great opportunity

  • to meet new people from all ages and walks of life in your local community

  • to be involved in a range of activities that are going on locally

  • to be part of a friendly team with other volunteers, trustees and event organisers

  • to have the chance to give back to the community

What one volunteer said: I was originally asked to help out by a trustee when they first took over in April 2012. I have been very surprised just how much goes on here and I also now take part in some of the activities as well. It is good fun and I really enjoy helping make it work for the community. Oh yes, and tea and coffee are free!
